INCEPTION


HCL’s Chairman pitched his idea of rural development and the urgent need to take it up. Subsequently, HCL Samuday took shape.

INSTITUTIONALISATION

HCL Foundation signed a MoU with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, making Department of Rural Development the nodal department for the program.

FIRST STEPS ON FIELD


A 15- member team started testing the waters in Hardoi, initiating Pilot work in 50 villages of Kachhauna block.

SPREADING THE ARMS

Post successful completion of the pilot, the program was scaled-up to 203 villages (completely covering Kachhauna block), allowing HCL Samuday to cater to a population of 200,000 individuals from 30,000 households.

YEAR OF CONSOLIDATION


With the task of bringing about change in more than 200 villages at hand, Samuday fine-tuned interventions, tested sustainability and prepared for a sizeable expansion.

THE BUOYANT EXPANSION

Assured of the success of its interventions, Samuday was scaled-up to 765 villages (completely covering 3 blocks). This meant catering to a population of approximately 600,000 individuals from 90,000 households.

READY FOR THE WORLD TO EXPERIENCE


Achievements of HCL Samuday officially unveiled before the world by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

REFINING, RE-TUNING, AND EXEMPLIFYING

Three years into the field, HCL Samuday is now polishing the interventions and exemplifying them so that the masses may benefit.
